Support
Something broken, confusing, or missing in Dash? Tell us and we will look at it.
Get in touch
Email support@simonmanzler.com and we will get back to you. Dash is a small project in active development, so a real person reads every message — but it may take a few days.
Reporting a bug
The more of this you can include, the faster we can fix it:
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- The steps that led to it, and whether it happens every time.
- Your device and OS version, and the Dash app version.
- The date and approximate time of the affected run, if it involves one.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you have one.
Common questions
A run did not record, or the distance looks wrong
Distance and pace come from your device's GPS, which drifts under tree cover, between tall buildings, and indoors. Check that Dash has location permission set to Always (it needs to keep recording while your screen is off) and that battery saver is not suspending the app mid-run.
Checkpoints or powerups are not appearing
Checkpoints are placed along your route once a run starts, so they need an active run and a location fix. If a checkpoint sits somewhere you cannot safely or lawfully reach, skip it — see the safety section of our Terms of Service.
I am not getting notifications
Check that notifications are enabled both in Dash's settings and in your device settings. Reinstalling the app issues a new push token, so sign in again afterwards to re-register it.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the app's settings. That removes your profile, your runs, the route points behind them, your follows, and your kudos. If you cannot get into the app, email us from the address on the account and we will do it for you.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email privacy@simonmanzler.com and we will send you an export of your account and run history.
How do I get off the waitlist email list?
Reply to any waitlist email, or write to support@simonmanzler.com, and we will remove your address.
